“The DHCP Server service might intermittently stop responding after installing this security update. This issue affects IP renewal for clients,” the company says in updates added to security advisories issued during this month’s Patch Tuesday.

The list of affected Windows versions and the updates causing this issue includes:

“We are working on releasing a resolution in the coming days and will provide more information when it is available,” Microsoft added.

run a cmd as administrator and write Commands Shown:

The issue is that the DHCP server itself is not responding to requests - asking it again is not going to help. Until MS fixes this, the only answer is rolling back the update if you are affected.

If the update has broken DHCP, these commands will cause your workstation to release its current IP address and if DHCP is not working correctly on the server, it cannot lease a new one.

It would not be recommended to run those commands - it would make this issue worse, IMHO.
