good day, our company recently bought a new building which will run only wifi. The network connection will be from our branch site connecting via a layer 2 point to point fibre. we have given both point to point devices IPs on our management vlan. I can reach the switches in the new building from the head office, however, I cannot reach the APs/the wireless network. so my question is how do i allow multiple vlans across a layer 2 link (Ubiquiti airFibre) because currently it looks like it’s only passing the management vlan.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

airFibre don’t know about VLANs, from what I’ve read. You would need to set up the VLANs on the receiving switches in the new building.

{"@type":"Person
Antonio1984
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Antonio1984"}},{"@type":"Answer

You need to tag the other VLANS on the ports that connect the switches on either end of the link.

Then on the switch at the new end of the link untag the VLANS on the ports you are using them on

{"@type":"Person
ich
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/ich"}},{"@type":"Answer

The answer is, the same way you move vlans between your current L2 switches now. The fibre is nothing but a long cable between two switches.

{"@type":"Person
Robert5205
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Robert5205"}}]}}
