Leaving my job today.

I have mixed feeling. I’ll miss my peers and my friends, but I am looking forward to more money and interesting new work (Linux, Cisco FlexPods, Oracle Exadatas, etc).

I’ve already cleaned up my machine, turned in my hardware, I’m even making tickets to remove my accesses.

So I sent this to my Senior DBA today:

Thanks! It’s always been a personal email. I found Spiceworks 3 years before I was full-time IT.

Yes you’ll miss your old colleagues for a while - but some you may stay in touch with, but you’ve got excellent challenges ahead, and will surely get to know and like your new colleagues too
