Hello everyone,

I recently moved my Plex server from a VM to a hardware device so I could use Intel QuickSync. Everything is running great but I would like to run snapshot backups. I know there are a few options like TimeShift, Snapshot, etc.

My question is, do any of those applications work with LVM, or do I need to use LVM snapshots? Also, TimeShift looks to be configurable via a GUI but my server is CLI only. Can I configure it via CLI? All the tutorials I’ve found seem to show the GUI.

TIA for any info you can provide

Everything I found online didn’t say anything about the json file, it was all GUI. If you have any info about configuring the json, that would be very helpful. I’ll look online more as well now that I know what file config file to use.
