So our assistant sales manager is out of the office and he’s been asking for a third monitor. Checked to make sure his computer had three video slots, turns out he has 5 (3 on board, 2 on gpu).
So now instead of having 2 21", he has 5 17" monitors splayed across his desk. They are arranged in sort of an X pattern logically, so trying to move the mouse between them makes no sense whatsoever.
Also changed his mouse settings, flipped the buttons for clicking, increased click speed, changed sensitivity you know the classics. Sales team has an image they use to troll each other with, which is now set to his desktop background by GPO.
Sales manager and my boss both gave me the go ahead on this, so Monday when he gets back in should be fun times. Wonder how much of it he’ll be able to figure out on his own… (went from programming to sales so he’s not a typical clueless sales rep). Stopped short of messing with his keyboard settings because it would have been near impossible for him to log in.

Looking forward to the response. Should set up a webcam to capture the response.
You need to video the reaction!

So, how did it go? Did he love his new monitor setup?
So I don’t have a webcam to record it with unfortunately.
However I can say that we was incredibly pleased at the idea of having 5 monitors. Somewhat less so at having to go through and reset the mouse and screen settings but hey that’s what you get for leaving the office for a week right?
Here is the 5 monitor setup he came back to on Monday. He didn’t realize the 17" spread was supposed to be part of a joke at first, but he wants to keep it this way and since we didn’t have anything else planned to do with these things I figure why not leave it. I honestly don’t think anyone else here is crazy enough to ask for this kind of thing anyway.
