AD was working for us for over a year and now, i’ve notice it is not working anymore. If i go to another computer and login as me. I am able to get to the Portal Login page, but my username and password is not working.

I tried it with the domain name in the user account and still no luck. If i move back to my original PC, i am no problem access the content inside portal.

Is there a place where I can view the log so I can determine why my user account is not working?

I am currently running 5.169

I had a similar problem. Do you have LDAP enable on your DC? If so, go the Active Directory Configuration and at the bottom click the link that says " Show additional settings". Then scroll down to where is says LDAP port and type in 3269 as the port. After that enter in the user name you want to use to sync with AD.

Make sure you are entering these addresses:

The portal address would be something like

http://server_name/portal

Make sure the /portal is at the end.

have you tried to restart your spiceworks server or with clearing the browser cache? if yes then what are the results.?

First of all you should upgrade your spiceworks current is 5.2.75667 see below to download then try.

Also what ports are you using for your spiceworks? are they allowed from firewall? can you check?

It’s was a misconfiguration. I added an extra cn=staff in the “LDAP Base info” in the pro setting.

I removed it and it works now.
