Good morning all.
I am in the process of migrating my environment from old slow EMC to a shiny new NetApp system. I’ve done live storage migrations for my Hyper-V servers using SCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager). And that is all hunky-dory. However, I cant find a tidy way of doing an online migration of the storage (CSV) presented to a Hyper-V Service (Windows File Server service). I can cope with a small amount of down time, but cant really justify the entire company data source to be offline for 24 hours whilst I do a bit-by-bit transfer of the data to a new CSV and then recreate the service against that new CSV.
Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

Hi Larissa. Thank you for taking the time to reply. From what I can see this just covers migration of normal virtual machines. I’ve storage migrated all of my VMs successfully. But the problem is with the HA Cluster services. Hyper v runs windows services in the hypervisor attributed to a particular physical host, however these service can be migrated from one host to another with virtual machine manager or failure cluster manager, but there is nonoption for moving the CSVS which they are using between storage systems. Hope this makes sense? Regards Neil
Hi Neil,
Can i just clarify what data is on the CSV of EMC storage? You have moved Virtual machines over to new i presume so what is left?
