I received a request from an owner of a company to provide him access to one of his employee’s PC’s while he is working on it. Normally we use a remote access app like TeamViewer to access a person’s PC bit they will know it by seeing an indication of a login.
Is there an app available that takes a screen print of what’s on a monitor throughout the day and saves those screen prints on the PC or network?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Depending on your background settings, maybe a view-only VNC session.
You can use TightVNC which will allow you to hide the server icon.

Watch your legal step when being asked to play Big Brother - depending on the laws where this is happening, get with HR/Legal to be sure you’re not leaping into potential hot water.

Yes, I know. That will be the company owner’s issue. I’m only a hired hand following his email based request. it’s in writing so I have it documented.

Make sure you have the request from the owner documented.
That way, you can’t be thrown under the bus.
Thanks for the legal advise. I’m only looking for a solution that the Company Owner will have to approve in writing before it gets implemented.
Company employees need to remember they are being paid and are using company owned hardware and software. With that in mind, if they are working on something other than what they are being paid for, management should have the opportunity to be aware of those things and discuss it with them.
This is not intended to be an invasion of privacy, but rather a verification that employees are performing their job, not some other activity.
Just following orders is no longer a bullet proof defense. Hasn’t been for a long time.
Anyway there are a number of programs of varying legality out there for remote monitoring of company owned computers. Some of them are on the up and up and allow you actively monitor and/or interact (SCCM for example) and others can save screenshots or video clips on a schedule, a triggered action, or on request, have those save to a networked location and they can be viewed at the owner’s discretion. Many also are part of a suite that includes keyloggers, logs of sites visited, activity logs, etc…
It’s all easily located online, I’m pretty sure some of them won’t install a copy on your machine while you visit their site or make additional transactions with your financial data. When you are dealing with sites that specialize in such your essentially trusting them to be more trustworthy than your own employees so buyer beware.
Good luck. There is always the chance that this may actually exonerate an innocent employee. In many of these cases what is actually going on is not what the employer suspects.

Look into UltraVNC . Easy, simple, free, and makes remote troubleshooting extremely easy.

One can use Employee Desktop Live Viewer tool to access Employee PC within the network or organization or some other location.
It has so advanced options to take screenshots, capture video, pop up message to the user, invisible or offline monitoring and other more options. To know more about Employee Desktop Live Viewer software , visit: Employee Monitoring Software to Track Employee Desktop Activities and download the demo software to check its performance.
