Saw this article on the Reg about a rewrite of the Flash trojan for OSX, looks like the malware authors are starting to look at Mac a bit more now. Can’t decide if this is testament to their popularity or if they are getting less secure.

Too bad we have the attitude of “We use Macs, we’re safe”. In a way I’d like to see some of our Macs get infested just so I can say “I TOLD YOU SO!”. Gotta love Mac users and management.

We there’s a will there’s a way, if you try hard enough you should be able to get yourself infected, users seem to manage it all the time ;o)

Heh…I’m one of the few here on PC. I refused to be put on a Mac when I first started. I have a Mac sitting here on my desk to fix the occasional document corruption but that’s all it’s used for. Well…that and I also use it as a handy clip board.

I notice quite a few people have that “we have mac, we don’t get infected” syndrome… the same theory is far too prevalent in Linux users as well… kind of odd in my humble opinion due to expected level of savvy typically associated with products and os’s of that nature… I’ve realized a paranoid approach will better serve in the long run then expected levels of safety.
