I’m having problems with my inventory software , I have some machines that have only one installation of MS office , when I look in the software installed on the machine, it appears two facilities .

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I do not know more what to do , I tried the machine records, delete the machine from inventory and sent scan again and he still behind other installations .

Please I need help.

What’s happening here is that Microsoft does not properly remove license keys from the registry when the product is uninstalled, and that’s why Spiceworks is picking them up. You will need to clean up the registry values manually. Here is a link to a how-to:

Okay, I’d like to get a look at your logs to see why Spiceworks has both of those installations listed for the same device. Hang tight and I’ll send over an email with instructions on getting those to us!

It turns out the following application was showing up through WMI:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x64)

Because “2010” and “Office” are contained in the application name, Spiceworks was interpreting that as “Office 2010.” Suporte2616 was able to fix the issue by running the Fix It tool from Microsoft:
