This is a new one for me and I thought I have seen my fair share of issues.

We got a Team that the members do not see Upload or New on the Files tab. Also, an SP List cannot be edited. This goes for every channel in the Team. Upload or New does show up for Private channels just not normal channels.

Anyone seen this?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

What are the settings when you look at permissions on the SP Team site? Are the people who can’t do any of this owners?

Files for Teams are stored in SharePoint Online at a path like:

https://.sharepoint.com/sites/

Note that is similar to but not always exactly like your team name. For example, MS usually removes spaces and if any SP site already has a name it may tack on “1” or something like that. Easiest way to find it is to go into the Files tab of your channel, then click “Open in SharePoint” on the action bar above the files.

If you are a SP admin, go into the file repository and ensure all the people having problems have read/write access to that site. Also, keep in mind that sometimes this stuff isn’t instantaneous so if you just set it up, give it 30 minutes and try again. Sounds like this has been around a while.

Finally, also check the Group in your AD / Azure AD to ensure everyone appears in that site’s group.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

Since you are seeing this on all the channels under that particular team. Right mouse click on team in question >> Under manage team >> permission tab, check to make sure all the permission is correct.

{"@type":"Person
sandippatel6
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/sandippatel6"}},{"@type":"Answer

Yes, the Files Tab is mapped to the Team’s SharePoint Documents Library. All the channels will have subfolders in that library. I’d log into the Team Site and check permissions for that library.

For private channels/chats, files are mapped to users’ OneDrive instead.

{"@type":"Person
zed
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/zed"}}]}}
