I’ve previously asked for music suggestions in general… and provided similar music I liked. That worked out pretty good… so now I am curious and in need of some new tunes/suggestions specifically for the gym/working out…
Upbeat music that “pumps you up”?

After picking up the Master Chief collection, I really got to say the music behind it holds up. I really love hearing it go from the guitar to Gregorian chants.

Depends on what kind of music you like. I would recommend something along the lines of Five Finger Death Punch, maybe?

Avenged Sevenfold’s new album is pretty good. Never liked the band at all till this album.

Also, Queens of the Stone Age: You think i ain’t worth a dollar. They like to put weird intros on their songs, but once you hear the song you will recognize it.

Looking through my recent favorites I also found Apocalyptica does a good version of the Hall of the mountain King. It is a good one for when I start running, because it starts off slow, and goes to crazy fast.
Chrome Division, Metallica, At the Gates for when you really need some energy.
I also really enjoy the old Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk if I’m hitting the treadmill for a bit.

Avenged Sevenfold & FFDP are both very good… along those lines, I would also suggest Volbeat, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, In This Moment, The Pretty Reckless, 30 Seconds To Mars, Godsmack (esp. new album)…

Avenged Sevenfold’s older stuff is way better. And as a matter of fact I’ve been finding that most music I like is 10+ years old. I’ve been listening to alot of Screeching Weasel, The Queers, Circle Jerks, NoFX, DropKick Murphys, David Allan Coe, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, David Bowie, Slayer, The Pogues, Agent Orange, The Offspring, Death Death Die, MC5, The Dirty Heads, bunch of east coast hardcore. and I remind you that I dont listen to the new stuff of these bands. I listen mostly to the early stuff. The older the better in my eyes.

My latest joy is Baby Metal. Nothing makes the drive into work more enjoyable than listening to J-Pop and deathmetal combined.
