YO! This year will be my first trip to a Spiceworld conference. I am really looking forward to it because I’ve always been told to attend. What are some things that may not be on the official agenda but are a worthwhile part of any Spiceworld experience? I like to party, learn, and have a blast. Looking forward to it!

My first SpiceWorld as well. I land Sunday around 6pm if anyone wants to pre-party.

I’ll be there around noon CST on Sunday. Hoping to catch some of the headliners at ACL Fest possibly. Coming from 420 friendly CO, not too stoked re: TX policies, but strength through adversity and all of that lol

Find a Spicebuddy. They’ll have the in on what’s happening.

Don’t be afraid to go up to people you recognise from the forum and say hi, especially if they’ve helped you if you’ve help them, it’s always great to put names to faces.

There, you’ll find the Official Unofficial SpiceWorld calendar! There’s nothing on it yet for this year, but I expect to start getting entries soon! This’ll point you to all the unofficial parties and events that are going on.
SpiceBuddies are a great source of information, and we’ll be doing some info sessions during the Welcome Shindig on Monday.

Awesome, saw a spice buddy lives 30 mins north of me in CO! Cool

There is quite a lot to take in.
Pace yourself for the events, sessions, etc.
Don’t be afraid to walk up to people you don’t know and strike up a conversation with them, mingle with the vendors and interact for more than just getting your card sticker/stamp for the prize drawings on the last day.
Above all, have fun!

Its such a fun conference, this is year 2 for me. Last year being my 1st, it was super easy to navigate and find fun/interesting stuff to do!

As other people are saying, talk to the spice buddies and check out spicebuddies.info once it gets closer to the conference. If you’re looking to party, there’s always plenty of people out on 6th St until the wee hours of the morning.

I’m a Spiceworld Virgin as well. I’m planning on hanging out with my Spicebuddy and meet all the people I usually just talk to in the webbys in person!

It’s already been mentioned but I can’t help stress this enough: Spicebuddies for sure!

Keep a close eye on that calendar of unofficial events. You will find a wide variety of things to do. Just remember to pace yourself (or take the rest of the week off to get some sleep after).
I’m looking forward to seeing some new faces and making some new friends.

Second best drunk idea I’ve ever had!

If that’s the second best, what’s the first? Cause that calendar is pretty darn important!

I am guessing either “Hey maybe that person will date me” right before asking out his significant other or “Dude, maybe this person will marry me… where did I put my ringpop?”
At least for comical value I am guessing that.

When I was at uni, our local goth club was an absolute dive despite the local goth scene being pretty huge. Me and a friend got drunk, said “screw it, we’ll start our own club night. I bet the uni will help us!”
The club turns 20 years old this year.

I’m fairly sure my ex-wife would say that drunkenly asking me to marry her is probably the biggest drunk mistake she’s ever made.
We did have a cosplay wedding though, so some good came out of it…
