Hi

We are currently running Network Monitor 1.3 and are going to update to 1.5, is it possible to copy / move over all the devices we are currently monitoring so that we dont have to manually add each one after the update?

We have over 150 devices that we are currently monitoring…

Thanks!

If you are going to update it this will do it for you, if you are planning on installing it on another system, manually adding the devices is the only way, there is a guide SW support are working on that is in beta but doesn’t always work though.

So if we uninstall 1.3 and install 1.5 on the same server, all the devices will be there when we boot up again?

If you upgrade 1.3 to 1.5 then you wont need to, just install it over the top.

I keep getting errors while running the installation, see the attached image. Any ideas?

Try stopping the service before you run the installation.

Make sure you have a backup of the folder first.

Stopped all services but still get the same error, cant find anything relevant in Event viewer… Looks like an uninstall needs to be made here?

Hey Sebastian - It sounds like the jump in version numbers is preventing an upgrade. Unfortunately this means you will need to uninstall the old version prior to installing the latest release.

Alright so I uninstalled 1.3 and installed 1.5 and the client is showing up fine on the localhost and if i open the network monitor with the same link we used for 1.3 while its booting up i can see the spiceworks logo loading but as soon as the login prompt comes up it crashes with the error: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. Any ideas?

Fixed it, had to login to the localhost first, everything is up and running again. Just the job of adding every single device again :frowning:
