Hi guys,
I have Spiceworks Network Monitor installed on a clean server (nothing else installed). I believe the “Spiceworks Event Processor” service keeps stopping and therefore stopping the “Spiceworks Network Monitor” service.
It would stop every minute or so until and I’d just restart it, however it is now impossible to stop, start or restart and forced me to consider starting over.
I have uninstalled Spiceworks Network Monitor and reinstalled it to the latest version which is 1.5.00111.
Unfortunately, it’s happening again but it isn’t as constant as before.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

What does event viewer say about this?
Is your antivirus causing it to stop?
I only receive erros when trying to stop, start or restart the Spiceworks Event Processor service after it has already stopped.
“Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion”
The server has no antivirus, I’ve had no luck with any fixes and feel that it is something specific to Spiceworks.

Same deal here. Spiceworks Event Processor shows as running, but no data appears in the dashboard. When attempting to restart the Spiceworks Event Processor, the service sits in “stopping” state.
A server reboot restarts the service.
This is running on a physical box - no VM.
I installed Network Monitor a couple of weeks ago. Don’t know exactly how long the service runs before it hangs.
I’m having the same issue. Was there any solution found? The “Helpful Post” comment isn’t very helpful on this thread.
