I am trying to run a full network scan for my supervisor. I know everything is NOT showing up in the list, because a PC I added to the domain a week ago is not coming up on the list, as well as a few other newer PCs we added. I ran a new network scan and ran a report to no avail. Am I missing something? How do I get these new computers to show up? Some other new PCs I added that are not currently connected do however show. The one in particular I am looking for I do know was on and functional today during the scan,

Do you have the firewall settings set up correctly? And can you test the WMI settings and see what you get?
When you say they are newer, I’m guessing Windows 7? The default firewall settings can mess with a scan.

Have you set up AD integration? If not, that will help.
If you know the IP of a machine that you know to be online but not getting picked up, try creating a new scan just for that IP, test the credentials that you are using & see what happens. If that works, run a scan on just that IP. Most likely you have something blocking the scan, probably the firewall.
Have a look through the support pages here, let us know if you are still unable to see the machines.

How is your scan setup?
Is it scanning AD or just a subnet?
Are there errors scanning the devices?
If they do not show up it is likely that they may not be included in your scan range.
Jeremy’s links above are a good start also. A simple ping from the Spiceworks machine and the machine you know is live is where I’d start. If that works, then I’d test WMI. If WMI works then double check your network scan settings.

This is a great place to start.

Make sure you can ping the device and pay particular attention to the troubleshooting section on WMI. It may be something as simple as the IP range of your inventory scan. Make sure the device has an address in the range you are scanning. Run a scan and watch the logs to see if there is anything obvious. Spiceworks is very good at finding devices (sometimes TOO good).
