Hello all,

I have been tasked with seeking out a new laptop for myself!

I am seeking no more than 900$, at least 16GB of RAM, i7, SSD and some type of Biometric device like integrated fingerprint scanner. WIndows 10 Home/PRO does not matter. Laptop size does not matter. Suggestions are welcome, thank you.

If productivity apps are needed you will easily exceed the $900 cap. I prefer HP Elitebook gear.

Hi Matthew! We have an array of laptop s that can fit your requirements. I have linked you the EliteBook and ProBook business laptops for your convenience. There may be a few that are outside your budget, but there are several more that are currently budget-friendly for you. Please also note that features such as the fingerprint scanner are considered an additional/sold separate feature. They will be marked on the product pages as necessary. Please let myself or Priscilla@HP know if you have any additional questions. Best of luck!

+1 for the Elitebook line. The are pretty durable and are worth your consideration.

Was looking at the HP Elitebook x360 1020; pretty nice. Though, the other Elitebooks would fit fine, just happened upon the x360 1020 first. :stuck_out_tongue: Hmm, I can’t seem to find anything brand new Elitebooks in your price range. A refurb might fit, but you looking for brand new out of the box, are you not? I can find a few Probook that get close to your spec/price needs, but lack the 3yr warranty the Elitebooks have. Are you looking for more of a business unit, or could get back with a consumer focused model that has some bio-metrics?

I love the Elitebooks, but you could probably get by with a Probook here. I’m using one currently and think it’s a great budget-friendly laptop.

Hey Matthew - Any update on your search so far? If you’re still looking for other options, you could check out the Latitude 14” 5000 (5480). Looks to have all the specs you mentioned wanting.

I found one particular model in our Dell Outlet store: Refurbished Business Laptops & 2-in-1s: Dell Outlet | Dell United States

Let me know what you think! Happy to provide more options if available.

I would recommend an HP myself.

I think at 900 you are going to struggle to find anything new with those specs.

I’d consider going to an i5 to drop closer to that price. You shouldn’t notice the difference.

Either that or try to bump it up to 1000.

Let us know if you have any questions.
