I would like to know if it’s possible to scan a device (laptop, desktop) by VPN?

you can scan over vpns but its better to have remote collectors set up at the other sites saves on bandwidth

The problem is that i need to scan 7 laptops in the other office that is located in other country! The VPN connection is prety good also!

By the way… Spiceworks have any kind of agent to install on other computers ?

No agent yet, but they are talking about making one.

Yes you can scan any subnet you want, as long as your routing is good and you have no ACL’s to block its traffic.

We have ten locations and one install. It isn’t as fast as a LAN connection, but remote collectors at each site aren’t feasible for us. The one pain point for doing a big central scan for me was validating firewall settings. But once that’s done, you never have to worry about it again.
