Does anyone have or know if it is even possible for new user checklist can be created on the Spiceworks portal that can be forwarded onto different departments based on what is completed in the form.

Example. HR starts the request and fills in their required information, once they hit submit it goes to the next person in line, lets say the group manager who would then fill in their required information then hit submit, then goes to IT and they fill in their information to then close out the request.

We currently have a new hire form that we use on our spiceworks portal but it really only pertains to IT related info. We want to develop a process for when new people are hired because our current solution is awful and IT gets stuck with a 2-3 day window to get equipment ready to go when we really need a few weeks.

I’m not sure what Spiceworks is capable of. I built my own intranet sites for that reason. The real challenge is getting users to use it. I still get submitted requests the day of a new hire lol.

Hi Jon,

There’s not really a method to do what you’re looking to do via the Portal.

You can have ticket checklists, but that’d only apply to Admins that would be able to reassign the ticket from themselves to another Admin to follow-up on.

Maybe the new hire form is configured with Required Fields so that the ticket can’t be submitted unless certain information is provided, thus preventing HR (using your example) from submitting the ticket until all the required information has been gathered, which would require that they get with the group manager.

I realize that’s not ideal - just trying to think of a way around the limitation.
