Why can the IT guy - me- attach a file to a quote but the vendor can’t? I did a test quote on myself and the vendor view doesn’t provide a “attach file” button.

I had the same issue and found out that YOU can only attach a document or quote in the purchasing. I am assuming you are wanting the vendor to attach quote? I am only using this with 1 vendor currently and they were shocked about receiving RFP information from “some thing called spiceworks” I just had to laugh and now my rep likes it when I send requests because he can respond while talking to someone else. He sends the original quote via email and I attach the document to the information coming back just as a hard copy.
I wondering if many spiceheads sent request in to allow vendors to add documents they would create this or maybe there is some real reason why they will not allow it.
Hate to bring up an old thread but did anyone figure this out?
This would be allow us to use Spiceworks Purchasing. But it doesn’t make sense for the vendor to have to send us a separate email quote in addition to having it in Spiceworks, why can’t they just attach the quote?
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
