When receiving emails from this contact their emails are always smashed into one line of text and unreadable.

email text problem

I have tried switching from application to edge to chrome to Firefox all having the same effect. I have tried changing some of the formatting settings with no effect as well. I am now thinking the issue is happening on the contact’s end with their formatting. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Press ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel. I’ve seen that before - the text is zoomed all the way out.

I tried this in both application and browser email with no luck.

This only happens in a web browser, does it affect email clients?

It’s also quite hard to see your screenshot as it’s very small

Is it only to you, only from one sender? Is your spam filter adjusting it in any way?

What about incognito / in-private browsing if you use the web?

This is the company’s general info email, so it is affecting everyone, but this happening in both the outlook application and web browser.

Unfortunately, I have to keep to what I am allowed to share so the screenshots will be very limited.

The issue only seems to happen from the specific sender and spam filter is not influencing the email but good suggestion I forgot to check that initially.

Incognito/private browsing does not change the way the text is being displayed

information wise, that’s fine and makes sense.

For me, and this may be what you’re trying to get across, aside from the red which is personal data, the other part is a white block.

Not just yours, but theirs. If it’s one sending domain, their email system may not be following a standard.

Are they trying to or encrypting emails?

Ask them to send a test email to a Hotmail/outlook account not related to your company, rule out a transport rule or filter your side. While you may not see anything obvious, something may be happening, especially if they are using RTF and not plain text or HTML. Maybe ask them to try one in plain text.

ERTF can be messy if both sides are not clean.
