Tl;dr: It’s a webcam that creates a 360 degree panorama and includes the ability to focus directly on who’s talking. It also has a built-in omni-directional microphone so as to be a one-stop-conferencing-shop.

It’s pretty cool, to be honest, but dat price, as they say. I feel like we’d be a paying a “no one else is doing this yet” tax. And all this given that it’s also only about 720p-ish in quality:

I get it. It’s rendering a pretty big image, but I’d still expect a bit higher quality for the price. Looking around, there are kind of similar products, but none of them quite match. It’s sad because it does seem useful, at least in our setup. We have a conference table and something this would go perfect in the center of it. I think it would be automatically better than the “webcam looking down on everyone” setup we currently have.

Anyone have experience with one of these. Those that don’t, would you buy something like this?
