Figured I would share my Analogy on PC Components and how they work using the “Kitchen” Analogy.

That’s a pretty cool analogy. I’ve never heard this one before. I like the chef as CPU and resources as countertop space / fridge space comparison.

I think people can relate because everyone loves food (especially me).

I also think analogies are really good to share with non-technical people. It really helps them a lot. I recently developed one for virtualization that compares servers to hotels and VMs to rooms.

I’m glad you like my analogy. I created this a few years ago since I’ve interviewed quite a lot of people in my career and they can never seem to finish the rest of the components.

Virtualization analogy with Hotels and VMs is pretty good.

I’ve actually used an analogy for Virtualization with Clothes Drawers. Each drawer/compartment can have different purpose however it’s still on the same cabinet/drawer.
