Now that windows 11 has officially been announced, will your organization be planning on a move to window 11 when it is released or will you wait a year to see that the major bugs are worked out?
POLL: Windows 11, to upgrade or wait once fully released.
- We will be planning to upgrade
- Wait 1 year
- Not upgrading until I am forced to
- test first, then roll out
- Wait until W11 is promised to never expire. Then install 1yr before EOL.
- Buy a Mac
- Downgrade to win11 when forced

Business-wise, we’ll probably have IT test it after 6 months to a year, and then start rolling it out on new systems once we’ve determined it doesn’t break anything major. Probably won’t upgrade everyone until we have to, though.
Personally, though, it’s going on my test machines and Windows 10 lab box as soon as I have an official ISO

I usually wait until there is just over a year for the EOL, then start upgrading. I will slowly trickle upgrades as we buy new equipment still. I myself will be using it as much as I can to learn the quirks and if it is good enough for the user.

Test the Crap out of the first full release version then after the major kinks are Ironed out upgrade.
whilst I will build a windows 11 machine in my lab and use it for testing purposes, for the business I guess we will wait at least 6 months before we roll out Windows 11 across the business.

Just like Windows 10, we won’t upgrade until we are forced to. Too much disruption to the end users, especially if Microsoft makes a lot of changes to the interface.
Only certain Processors qualify for Windows 11

Since we recently replaced our last 2 W7 computers, I doubt we’ll upgrade existing computers to 11. Maybe in a few years when W11 is the only option when purchasing new computers.

Allowing people to add to a poll makes it worthless. Just sayin…
