Hello!

I am stuck between these 3 brands of PPM software which are Mavenlink, Wrike & Monday. I am not very familiar & I am new to the IT world, but I was tasked with choosing the software where we will be piloting it for our IT dept. & eventually scaling it to the entire company. I’ve yet to contact the vendor to request a demo, but I am just wondering if any of you have used any of these or compared them yourselves & why did you chose the company you did?
The criteria I was given:

  • Traceability
    • Invoice Tracking
    • Performance & Progress
    • Show Dependencies Across Projects
  • Forecast / Accrual Report & KPI
  • Internal Communication Capability
  • Cost & Fee’s
  • Scalability / Integration
    • AD Integration & SSO
    • API
  • Data Storage
  • Cloud
  • Mobile App- IT Support
  • Response Time
  • Tutorial / Training- Ease of Use

I am still open to other options as long as you can justify why haha!

No, I never used one of those you mentioned. I’ve heard of one only a few times and not the others.

I used Microsoft Corporation Project. This is a powerful solution. I did not need to pay for it. When I used it, the companies had some on-premise editions of Microsoft Office 2010 (and other versions) including the MS Project component. It is not easy to find more powerful solutions. But there other solutions of similar power.

  • So do you already have some edition of subscription of MS Office?
  • Does it include MS Project?

If MS Project is considered easy to use is a matter of point of view. I find it almost easy. I needed a little bit of try and error for conditioning. And when talking with Microsoft on a fair since my last experience with the product, they replied that they improved much on that product and made such conditioning easier. And if you already have MS Project available in your current software portfolio, you won’t have additional costs as it is already covered by what you’re paying. Eventually your system requirements may change when using for larger and complex projects.

And you may complement MS Project by other tools resp. add-ons, e.g. for resource planning or managing complex supply chains with actual disruptions.

In our forum, there also exists a poll on favorite project management solutions . But its already four years old. The market and market shares may have changed since. So eventually, you may want to start a new poll.
