Today I came home to a package on my kitchen table (roommate brought it in- don’t think I’m that close with my mail carrier) from Dean3568 . Inside it was a stack of various comic books (thank you so much… there was even Star Wars stuff in there), but the best part of it was the box itself. I wanted to share the pictures with you guys.

So what? Well it fell apart and the Post Office had to tape it back together

Btw- I had to flip it over to this side to get it open…

Nice!
Seeing the X-Men vs Avengers almost makes me want to go dig that miniseries out of the my footlockers… almost.

Nice! I’m currently trying to figure out where the Hell I’m going to store these, and the other two boxes like them. Don’t have the storage space I used to and haven’t opened the boxes for a couple of years as I’ve got thousands stored electronically.

Lucky woman, comics seem to be from private collection! You will need to wear gloves to read them without damaging them. Mr. Marconi made you a beautiful gift.
Brilliant the box is nearly as good as the present inside!

I do not know what your mailmen did to destroy that box so badly, but I’m glad it got to you all the same. Hopefully the comics are as fun for you as the box was.

Once I converted mine to electronic, that’s when I made the decision to give away the physical ones to someone else who would enjoy them. No reason for me to have both the electronic and physical copies and now someone else gets to read the comics I always loved.

Yeah, I really should do the same. I just don’t like the idea of letting go of something I spent so much time, effort and money on collecting. I doubt I could even sell them off now as its so ridiculously easy to get hold of electronic copies via torrenting (which is illegal of course and not something I condone in any way
