You’re all the best, have I told you that recently? So true. Now that you’re nice and buttered up, think you could spare a few minutes to take this quick backup-related survey?

The one thing I would have users do to ensure their data is backed up securely

Save their work to an external drive
Save their work to the cloud
Email a copy to themselves
Just make a copy in a different folder named “backup” on the same drive
Make a carbon copy/sticky notes
Take a well-framed pic of their work on their phones
Other
Save in the Recycle Bin or Trash Folder
SKYNET
Save files to a network share IT backs up regularly
Use Veeam Endpoint Backup to backup their whole PC to the Veeam Repo
Put their important files in their HomeDrive, which is on a server that is backed up!

@jeffgrettler Remember that one time when we lost a VMDK on one of the hosts and then lost Hipchat? Then we discovered that Hipchat stores its backups locally within its own filesystem? And then, we discovered that the Hipchat restore documentation was incorrect, resulting in absolute chaos for three days. Yeah. I remember that too… I’m not bitter, though

There was literally steam coming from your area @kris and it happened on World Backup Day! That was also the day I just dove thru the row of empty chairs.
