At least it’s not as bad as the Black Friday “deals” you see on Amazon. It’s always a little funny when you see the list price of a product go up 30% and be “discounted” 25.

Absolutely. I remember years ago before Ebay changed their fee structure, people would list stuff for a dollar with 500 shipping because you only paid fees on the selling price.
I just saw similar on Amazon when I was shopping for a DeWalt cordless drill. Made me shake my head and really try to find a difference other than no charger.
Sounds similar to Overclockers UK and their weekly sales. Sometimes, they discount products by a penny, which makes it a “Sale Price”.
