I see many forum users talking about other remote managment software, is there any reason that they are not using spiceworks for remote IT support

Spiceworks doesn’t provide a tool for this. It offers integration with some tools, but nothing on it’s own.

Thanks for your reply. I have been using logmein free but now must make a decision for remote support.

Any suggestions?

It depends on your requirements and budget. If your business is willing to pay, I recommend Teamviewer. Otherwise, look into VNC. There are many posts in regards to LogMeIn alternatives on Spiceworks that have more info and detail.

I second VNC. Its very lightweight and is easy to deploy

Has anyone tried ScreenConnect?

It seems like a better price than Teamview with all the same features - I just have never heard of them before.

Thanks, i had looked at that list yesterday…many choices, Any thoughts on N-able?

You should take a look at Pertino. Just install the client on any of the systems you need to manage and you can connect to them over Pertino’s network. RDP, file sharing, etc. all work like you’re connected to the same lan. No hardware or configuration necessary and you can try it for free for up to 3 devices.

Tom, Thanks,

Will take a look.

Enjoy

Well, since time was an issue, I decided to ante up to logmein, at least it provides some time to consider all alternatives
