Wanting to ping Spiceworks world to see what other people are doing out there…

What are people doing to support their organizations that have full time video editors that work remote? VDI? Laptops and Hard drives? Remote software I saw a few other strings from a few years ago but wanted to start another string and see if there’s any updates or if anyone else is in the world is up against the same problem that I have. Curious to hear all of the creative solutions out there…

For context, how do they work now?

Its a real mixed bad of methods some people use their personal laptops… some people use their corporate desktops with remote software… some people have corporate laptops… its all over the place.

What software are they using, do they need to render in the day or can it be scheduled over night, in which case they could offload the work to a VM (Server OS).

Are we talking rendering or Adobe Premier Pro type stuff?
