Is it possible to create a report that shows the online (working) hours per day and computer.

Would apriciate a solution for that

Thanks

2 Spice ups

That would be a great report.

The problem as I see it would be how to define online hours given the parameters that Spiceworks collects. I have a hard time getting my users to logoff when they leave and logged on hours isn’t a very accurate measurement of working hours. I’m just brainstorming on what parameters could be used to track metrics.

Technically, it’s possible to gather the online and offline times for the devices within inventory but, as N5EMX08 mentions, there are so many different reasons why a computer might be offline that the info probably wouldn’t be very helpful.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the exact goal with the report? Maybe we can find a different way to get the results you need.

Hi,

thanks for answer. Actualy I would like to “charge” my users by the environmental impact points they create. So, it would be useful to get the power consumption of there pc’s. As I have the tech infos of the pc’s, I need “just” to know how long the computers are running in a specific time periode.

Hi Reto7705,

Hmm, let me see if I can come up with something for you. It should be feasible to get the info, I just want to make sure it’s really going to help out!
