I was looking at the current Spiceworks Level list, and I started fantasizing about if there was a way to go from Pimiento to Pure Capsaicin in a single hit. And then I thought, ‘What could you do that could possibly qualify?’

What came to mind was a bunch of purely ridiculous things.

Name your baby ‘Spiceworks’.
Get the Spiceworks logo tattooed on your chest.
Actually beat the current world record holder for eating the most Carolina Reapers in 60 seconds (22!) then dedicate your victory to SpiceWorks.
Become genetically spliced with Capsaicin to increase your spiciness. Warning: Symptoms include becoming hydrophobic, colorless, odorless, and taking on a crystalline to waxy texture.
Invent a Triple-A Spiceworks Game.
Become cult leader of a Spiceworks Religion. Ranks may include ‘Acolyte of Broken Drives’ or ‘Brother of Coolest Memes’.

Too much work. Far easier to do one of these:

Find a competent hacker.

Or, use social engineering to find some incriminating evidence on a spiceworker.

Subterfuge and blackmail are fairly low-impact.

Wasn’t there a Star Trek episode that addressed something like that? Not sure if TOS or TNG, but still…

(we know it couldn’t have been Voyager, because there’s no ridiculous time-travel element involved)

… although now that I reread this, the Silverblood story arc in Voyager could be close to this.
