I’m crushed, as I feel like I almost grew up with this kid. Yet another one gone too soon. :sob:

Wow! Didn’t realize that was Theo. Yeah way too young to go.

When I see these, I think that’s close to my age. :frowning:
Sad to see him go. I liked him.

Man, that’s sad! Drowning is a phobia of mine, what an awful way to go!

I loved the Cosby Show growing up. One of my favorite scenes was the “Regular People” dialog between “Theo” (Warner) and his father (Cosby) in the pilot episode.

I loved that scene (and many others).

The fact that it was an accidental drowning really does add another layer of tragedy to it. Like, if it had been due to some medical condition, chronic or acute, it would have been unfortunate but feel more “natural”. Fatal events due to external causes make it feel like they were ripped from this mortal coil rather than simply passing from it.

^^Totally this. It somehow makes it a bit harder to process and definitely feels more tragic, particularly since it was supposed to be a family vacation. I can’t imagine what that family is going through.

We had a friend and co-worker way back who had a heart attack while sitting on the dock at his brothers’ place…it was classified as a drowning as he fell into the water. It was a sad day for us all :frowning:
