Hi everyone,

Is anyone experiencing intermittent internet connectivity when connected to the Ruckus R610 access point? The issue lasts only a few seconds before the connection returns to normal.

Based on my testing, this appears to be a wireless-specific issue. Devices connected via Ethernet to the same switch do not exhibit the problem.
There are no relevant events in the syslog, and SNMP monitoring shows no downtime on the WLANs or Ethernet interfaces. The switch port connected to the AP is also stable.

I ran continuous ping tests to various networks and to our router, and observed no packet loss. However, when pinging public IPs like 8.8.8.8 from a wireless device, I did observe brief drops, confirming the issue is not DNS-related.

The affected devices remain connected to the WLAN during the interruption.
I’ve already rebooted the device and tested with different WLANs, but the issue persists.

Model: Ruckus R610
Firmware Version: 200.9.10.4.233

Please let me know if anyone else is observing similar behavior or has suggestions for further troubleshooting.

Have you checked for firmware updates for the AP’s and the switches running them? These short drops are often hard to troubleshoot because they only last a few seconds and logs are hard to come by.

Do you have Zigbee Devices?

They use some of the same channels as 2.4ghz Wifi depending on the config

Is this thing up to date? There are CVE’s for this device, and they are not nice ones..
current seems to be 200.13.6.1.319 , but hard to tell, their firmware page is a mess..
