Hey everyone.

Was looking at picking up a Samsung Galaxy Tab S for my wifes birthday, thoughts?

She primarily uses it for playing games, the two features I’m after (which is why I’m leaning towards this) is multiuser feature (Andriod only) and Kid mode (Samsung only, and newer models only)

Thoughts, anyone have one?

I hear versus the nexus 10 its “bloated”

Personally I prefer samsung’s note series devices to the Tabs.

My advice is to head over to a gadget store and let your wife try some of the tablets and let her decide:)

Id recommend the Note series, my wife and I both have the Note 8.0 and love it. we also both have 10 inch tables (samsung galaxy 10.1 for me and Asus Transformer 10 for her) we both find ourselves using the Note 8.0 for everything (its worth mentioning my wife has the Note 2 phone also but uses the tablet more when she is home) Also we got our Note 8.0 used on Amazon for just under 200 each, well i got hers for like 180 im not sure how much mine was it was a bday gift to each other without realizing we got the same things haha.

Im not sure how old your kids are but i would get them a cheap tablet we got a used samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 for my daughter. picked it up used for $80. we have a ton of kids apps on it and we are looking into getting a nice sturdy case on it. just “lock it down” by turning off wifi and letting them play with installed apps.
