Just have a few questions below:

  1. I recently purchased a Galaxy S23 (CARRIER UNLOCKED), from a Samsung Reseller store here from Europe.
  2. The sales clerk told me that I needed to make calls from my European SIM card for at least 10 minutes and my phone should work in the USA.
However, I’m not too sure if the US bands support the European versions of the phone. So, this will be a concern of its own…

I already have made a 10 minute call only on SIM-1.

The phone comes with Dual-SIM, but since I will NOT be using the SIM-2 slot, will I still need to make the 10 minute call from the SIM-2 or just the SIM-1 would be enough since I will be using the SIM-1 only as my main SIM slot.

However, the original box that the S23 came in does not have the sticker labeled as EUROPEAN SIM CARD ONLY. I once owned a very older model of Samsung devices and the box had this sticker label on it. But this one does not.

So this would lead to my next question if Samsung had lifted these restrictions on their phones?

Get the model number of your phone, in About Phone.
Enter the details here WillMyPhoneWork.net should tell you if it is compatible with the network you choose

As you have made a 10min call already this won’t be an issue.

Yes, i did a 10 minute call already, but do I need to make the same call from the SIM-2 slot? I dont need to use the SIM-2 slot.

No you don’t

You could try the different network providers in the US to see if they have a tool that will see if the phone will work.
Though a friend was in the US for work a month ago, he took his personal Pixel 9 with him and used a US sim no problem

Anyways, If I do have issues once I am there in the USA, I will just walk in to my carrier over there and see if they can help me there.

Sorry for the double question:
Just to confirm, that I do not have to make another 10 minute call from the SIM-2 slot as I will not plan to use the SIM-2 slot?

No, you don’t need to make a call from 2nd slot
