So I’ve been playing with ‘Inventory’ for about 2 months now, been very helpful and I think network mapping has a great potential.
I faced a problem while scanning devices in my domain. So I had to manually install the agent on each device. working great now.
Here is the issue, I need to install Spiceworks inventory in another location but this location has more than 70 devices, I don’t think I have the time or the patience to do it manually :D. I can’t deploy the agent remotely cause i have to input the server address and the password on the agent. is there a way to do this with a script or something? or is there a remote deploy option in spiceworks?
If anybody has experience with this, your help is much appreciated.

It sounds to me like you should try and get scanning working properly and not bother worry about installing the agent on each machine.
Try running the Spiceworks Unknown agent on a machine that wont scan properly, it could tell you where the scanning might be going wrong.

Welcome to the community, please see below how to do so:

I would highly recommend to setup a remote collector on that location as a better solution with network scans:

Also look into this:
https://community.spiceworks.com/help/Configuring_AV_Firewall#GP
This will allow your firewall to allow the scans on the systems, make sure to disable UAC on the devices.

Configured correctly the devices shouldn’t need the agent, plus the agent has a limit of how many it should really be using as it has an impact on the resources
