I have several GPOs that are using security filters to only apply to specific AD user groups in specific OUs.

These GPOs have been working fine for several months, but have suddenly stopped working.

Some run login scripts while others set security settings for IE or other software. If I edit a GPO, login scripts for example, then select show files I receive an access denied error. If I browse to C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain\Policies and attempt to view the security settings on an effected policy folder, I receive an access denied error but if I change the security filter on the GPO to include authenticated users I have full access again?

It seems the only thing different between the GPOs that work and the ones that do not is the ones that do have authenticated users as a filter and the ones that do not work are using other users or groups.

OUCH! Thanks for the info. Wish I had seen that before the update was applied.
