I am migrating from ESET ERA (Remote Administrator) 6.5 installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 to ESET ESMC (Security Management Center) Virtual Appliance 7.1. I do not know how to speak NIX.

The instructions given by ESET is CentOS 7 command lines. I have not the foggiest idea of how to do this.

Seems like since this is a ESET VA, they should have a easy way for it to be done, not by having to use CentOS command line.

Any advice or help is appreciated.

Reach out to support, I’ve always found them to be helpful and willing to assist. Since this is an installation/configuration issue they may want to schedule a time to help.

Sorry I should have closed this. I did end up contacting support and they had to through a remote session reinstall the agent on the VA itself which had to be done via command line.
