:musical_notes: It’s the most wonderful time of the year :musical_notes:

Yes, of course, I am talking about SysAdmin Day this Friday - BUT ALSO, yesterday kicked off the 37th annual SHARK WEEK!

Anybody have a favorite shark movie (Shark Tale, anyone)? Or maybe your own personal shark tale?

(And speaking of sharks, did you know we’re running a giveaway over on our subreddit, r/Auvik? Go check it out & get you some Shark Bear swag!)

Well, I’m fairly certain “Jaws” is the only one I know. The National Geographic channel had their Sharkfest earlier this month, and I got to see “JAWS @ 50: THE DEFINITIVE INSIDE STORY” and I thoroughly enjoyed. I rarely tune into anything during Shark Week.

Edit: That reminds me that I need to research why Emily Blunt was featured in this documentary. Not that I don’t like her (she’s one of my favorites); it just made no sense when she had nothing to do with the movie like everyone else in the documentary did.

Edit II: The AI Overview answer to my question:

" Emily Blunt is featured in “JAWS @ 50: THE DEFINITIVE INSIDE STORY” because of her strong admiration for the film and its impact on her as a viewer and as an actress. She has openly discussed her obsession with Jaws and how it has influenced her appreciation of cinema. The documentary includes interviews with various filmmakers and actors, and Blunt’s perspective adds to the documentary’s exploration of Jaws’s lasting legacy."

Love shark week. So far I have made the hubby watch Jaws, Jaws2, The Meg, The Meg2, Deep Blue Sea and the first Sharknado. In return, I watch Cops with him, better when the dog is released.

I have one simple request, and that is to have sharks with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads!
