I’ve got 2 servers replicating dhcp and ad, all users connecting to the dhcp server currently get 192.168.0.1/24.

I’ve setup a ubiquiti access point on vlan 2 and want the same dhcp servers to dish out a different subnet of ip addresses, is this possible?

2 Spice ups

Yes…set different scope with different ranges

ok how do i setup a scope to set a ip range for users coming from specific vlan

That will depend on your level of expertise…

If you want to keep things simple, by right your Wireless solution should provide its own range of IP addresses instead of replying on the DCs,

i thought the ubiquiti ap would be able to handle dhcp, seems like you need another device to do that, pretty shit if you ask me

hence the need for my existing dhcp to handle the wifi dhcp to be on a different range

Set up the scope on your DHCP server the way you want and with the IP addresses in the range you are using for your new VLAN. Assign the IP address of your DHCP server as the “IP Helper Address” on whatever device you are using for routing.
