Fifty seat MB looking for client management solution that includes driver updates. Spending way too much time updating each workstation manually. PDQ any good? Thanks!

yes, it is very good. Combined with Inventory can make a really good set and forget system. Free works, but paid is cheapish and add alot of value.

I can also vouch for PDQ Inventory and Deploy. It has become central to our deployment processes which are automatic patching, manual software pushes and self-service installs.

However, for drivers, we still rely on Windows Update and Dell Command Update (since we are a Dell shop).

Thx!

I would think it really depends…coz PDQ Deploy (with PDQ inventory) can be very good for software & drivers deployment, sometime even deployment of Windows updates and CUs…

BUT

For firmware, I would usually rely on the manufacturer’s update software like Dell command update (I cannot remember the HP one) as sometimes firmware and BIOS updates can be tricky as may require things like AC power to be plug in … you REALLY do not want batt to die out in the middle of BIOS update (as some users have the habit of using lappy batt literally to 0%)

Anyone using Ninite Pro? Any good? Thx.
