Anyone make it through that challenge? What clumsy interface, there is WAYYYY too much stuff going on and unless you used it every day you would have no idea what is going on.

Thought it was easy, I did it in like 5 minutes and I know very little about Solarwinds or networking.

Found it pretty easy, very busy, but easy enough to navigate. Not quite as intuitive as I would hope though.

I found the interface straight forward and intuitive. The tool provides a magnitude of information, which can take some time to filter through, but I would rather have the wealth of information available if I need it. Good product from my perspective.

I liked it, but it was a bit complex. Our ISP has a basic Orion setup already to manage/monitor our sites, so it’s familiar, but that was a ton of information.

Maybe it is just my ADD, but the interface made me panic looking for stuff and not finding it.

I found it very easy to use…we are currently using IP monitor…thinking of switching to network monitor.

It ran very poorly in IE10, but it was fine in Chrome. I didn’t try IE9.
I will agree that it did look every busy, and without any experience with SolarWinds I did find myself a little on the lost side (For each question I ended up closing the demo and re-opening to get back to the home screen until I found the link for it; even then, the layout did change slightly). Nonetheless, pretty fun. Would demo again.
Do we need to enter every day or will one entry cover them all?
@Kevin.Schwenk We randomly select the prize winner each day based on the people who complete the Challenge that day (e.g. If you take the Challenge on Tuesday, you are eligible for Tuesday’s prize only). You can take the Challenge as many times as you’d like.
I run an itty-bitty network with only two locations. This was a challenge for me. But very interesting.
Demo Sucks !!! the GEEK comes out with a lense and says server is broken down.
Nice one SolarWInds !!! LoL
I had your license for 2 years and last never renewed cause of similar craps with the software.l… you proved me right again
I have a fairly small network with a single site, but following the demo of Solarwinds monitoring system was actually pretty easy. Especially since the little 5 question ‘challenge’ basically told me where to go and what to look for. Common sense took over after that.
When I go back to do it again, I don’t have to complete the challenge again. It just thanks me for completing it. Is this normal?
I was expecting to have to dig through the flapping nodes again; what a disappointment! It was fun the first time.
