Having a major problem with NetExtender and SSLVPN. This is a direct result of NetExtender no longer being auto launched once logged into an SSLVPN session.

Appliance is a NSA2600 and SSLVPN is properly configured, but has not been used in 2 years. I can log into and start a SSLVPN session fine, but since NetExtender does not auto launch to connect, you have to do it manually. Problem is, first there is no instructions that I can find anywhere as to what information needs to be put into the NetExtender connection boxes, and second when I fill in the boxes with what I believe should be the correct information, it never connects says username/password is incorrect, even though that very same username/password successfully logged into the SSLVPN connection to the NSA2600. For the server I am typing in the same address of the SSLVPN connect, which is the WAN IP of the NSA2600.

I know it must be connecting because I get the cert warning. Also I know it is connecting because if I type in something else for the server, I get a can not connect to server error.

Also odd is that on the NSA2600 doing a packet capture of the IP that the laptop has, there is no packets captured when doing the NetExtender connection attempt.

You should be able to go into your SonicWALL, go to SSL VPN - Server Settings and get the SSL VPN Port and the User Domain for login. Then are you using local accounts or doing an LDAP sync?

OK this is resolved. As it turns out I completely forgot to enter the port number on the server line.
