Good Morning Guys,
So I am thinking that I want to setup a VPN connection through the sonicwall. I am not going to lie, I have no idea how to set this up. I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction with this?

So, this is where I am at right now. Check out the attached picture…
What are you using on the other end of the VPN? Is it another Sonicwall, or something else?
First of all you need to know the gateway from the other site what should be the ip of the wan from the second site, you need to set a secret key and after under network you need to set the desired networks (LAN) to be tunneled, you need to make the same modifications on the other side also.

There is a wizard on the Sonicwall that will walk you through it, but as Ervin has mentioned you will need the WAN ip of the other device you are connecting to and then configure he other end with the same settings.

I just did a 2400 to a Tz190 over the week-end.
Run the wizard on both systems and all the settings “should be” the same. You will need the common passcode and each other WAN IP’s. The other thing that is important is you tell each device what local network can use the VPN and what remote network you will be accessing. If it is just the LAN subnet on each end then that is simple. If there are multiple networks on each end you will probably need to create an address group. The important thing here is you want them to be the same.
