Hi i’m kinda new in the IT industry and I would like to seek help.

in our company we have 2 ISP PLDT and PTT the gateway status of both ISP is green which OK.
but when I tried turning off or disable the PTT and use PLDT as our main internet, its not giving us an internet connection.

(both gateway is up)

hi,

your internet configuration is correct but you have to configure your Sophos to support Load Balancing or Failover, meaning if one of your internet fails the other one will be the one to work.

Kindly check this link: Configure gateway load balancing and failover - Sophos Firewall

hope this helps.

Why does one network have a public IP address, and the other a private? You say that if you disable PTT, that PDLT doesn’t work - PDLT is the one that doesn’t have a public IP address.

Is there an upstream modem for this ISP that needs to be put into bridge mode so that the firewall gets a public IP?

Hi phildrew,

Yeah i notice that as well, also I confirmed with our provider our ISP modem is not in bridge mode. also when i checked the config on our firewall it was set to DHCP only.
