NASA’s deep-space Kepler probe entered emergency mode last week, and no one knows why.
The poll in Friday’s Spark asked when you’d like to see the feature every day, and the consensus was that first thing in the morning was best for you. Have a thought for your poor editor as he rolls out of bed, grabs his laptop, and starts scanning the web for news headlines before he even eats breakfast.
Next poll: We have a landing page in the Community for our roundup articles . We also have pages for each type of article — for instance, there’s one for Spark and one for The Week’s Spiciest . Here’s where we need your input. If you go to those two pages, you’ll see that the format of the topic list in each looks very different from the other. Which do you prefer? Vote in the poll below, and feel free to comment. I’m really interested to see whether there will be consensus on one or the other.
UPDATE: The results of today’s poll were so overwhelmingly one-sided that I’ve closed the poll, and @sean-spiceworks has revised the format of The Week’s Spiciest page to mirror that of the Spark page. Enjoy the photos!

Depressed, Jobs quit Apple in September. He was 30 years old and washed up.
