We tried installing spice works in our network long back in 2012.

The initial scans were failing and was taking forever to run.

Planning to install again in our network (50 PC’s).
Single windows DC.

Do we need to do any prerequisite changes on our PC’s and server , this way the initial spice works scans are faster ?

Scan errors

Recently took on the role of Sys Admin at a mid-sized vascular clinic, about 150 devices (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.). They did not have any sort of insight into their network nor did they have a ticketing system. I installed Spiceworks and immediately started a scan, however, it is having issues scanning about half the PCs. I have tried the fix scan error tool and it shows all green, but the scan on the devices still fail. I would like to get the inventory correct before I have people start …

Spiceworks Scanning Windows 10

I've tried everything I can find to get Spiceworks to scan our first Windows 10 PC and it won't. I've tried the following things: Turn on File and Print Sharing. Ran the Spiceworks Unknown Assistant tool. Edited the registry using this command: netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="windows management instrumentation (WMI)" new enable=Yes I've adjusted the Firewall Settings to open the ports Spiceworks suggested. This system is part of the domain. I've tried so many things that I'm sure…
