Hello,
We are moving office locations and keeping our online product at the old office. Is it possible to have spice works monitor both networks (old and new office) or would I have to install different spice works instances in each domain and then use different logins to monitor them? Has anyone done this before? If so what did you do?

You can add a scan range for each network with different log in credentials or setup a remote collector ( How-to ).

You can do one of three things:
-
If you have a VPN, create a new scan for the new network using new credentials.
-
If you don’t have a VPN, you can create a second server for the new site (i’d not bother using that as the helpdesk, for sanity)
-
If you’ve taken the dive to Version 6 and are OK risking running a production environment on beta software (i would not) you can use the remote agent, it might not be the best way to do it, but it’ll work.
Someone else might have a better idea, but personally i’d shoot for 1, but fall back on 2.

We have remote collectors setup at all our district offices. All have hardware vpn’s.
I believe you can make remote collectors work without the VPN as well. You could also reach across the VPN with your current install, but that will be a lot of chatter on the connection.
(IMO)best practice would be a remote collector.
