This is the greatest community I know of both on IT end and on the personal end. Whether or not I get a badge I don’t mind. I disappeared for more then 6 months and when I returned the reactions were so warm that some deserve a spicy for it.

This year I’m going to just cook a nice dinner for my wife, dim the lights, curl up on the couch with her, and watch a movie. Nice and simple.

Probably the most romantic thing I’ve done is book a sunset cruise on our anniversary. My husband is the romantic one- every day this month he’s hidden a valentine somewhere in the house for me.
I want to give a shoutout to Cyali! She rocked it at SpiceWorld last year in the Women in IT panel (along with all the other panelists) and gives a lot to the community. Always keeping it spicy!
This shoutout is for Kyle R (Spiceworks) - he took on the Cisco Advocates group and he’s done a great job!

My favorite Valentine thing i have done was show up with a bouquet of red roses, made dinner, and a necklace. It was a good night.
One post that I really appreciated recently was by Ordesa_Spain on THIS topic.
If i got stuck in a 10 year time loop, i guess i would take the time to learn as much as possible. I think i would start with foreign languages and wood working. Maybe i would read ALLLLL of spiceworks.

I delved into the Spiceworks community about a year ago. This was after retiring from a long stint at a government IT position. My age was a serious challenge but I landed a temporary position at my current company. After a year with them they offered me a full-time position. It’s great to be part of something again.

After being a Network Administrator with huge responsibilities and all the stress that came with that then transitioning way down to a PC Technician, I welcomed the pressure release. I haven’t touched the higher-level IT stuff that used to deal with daily in over a year. But collaborating on Spiceworks with those who are like minded helps me to keep the mindset.

I enjoy the banter between all the various techs. The news articles are great. Love the daily Topics to Spark Conversation.

Bottom line, whether young or old. Beginner or well-versed. Spiceworks is a nifty place to hang out.

There have been a rash of new topics from people celebrating getting to the next pepper level. We are excited for you and want to celebrate your contribution, but having an individual topic for each time is getting to be too much. It is overwhelming the Water Cooler group because people have to wade through the pepper level posts to get to the rest of the topics. We're also seeing some point gaming where people are just saying "get your 11 points!" rather than just talking about their leveling…

Appreciation: In honor of Phil Connors, who had to learn to appreciate the town of Punxsutawney in order to escape his personal time loop, we’re going to appreciate the community by reaching out to others. For quest item one, go say something nice / positive to someone you don’t know. Compliment someone’s post, welcome someone to the community , or congratulate someone who just reached the next pepper level . Tag them in the post so they have a better chance of seeing it. Coax those groundhogs out into the light. No sneaky snideness or sarcasm for this step, or you have to do the whole quest all over again… and again… and again…

Description: Part of the successful navigation of Valentine’s Day is a good description. For this quest item, tell us how you would describe Spiceworks to a friend in six words or less (think bumper sticker size). Alternately, actually design a Spiceworks bumper sticker.

Expression: For this quest item, tell us how you would express your love if you had to write it on one of those chalky candy hearts (which, by the way, might not be available this year). For our purposes, let’s say you are limited to 3 lines of up to 7 letters each. @Spiceworks in general is amazing. I’ve tried to participate in things like Unplugged, On The Air, and various webinars to give back to the community. But an individual shout out to Justin O (Spiceworks), Sean (Spiceworks), Ceci (Spiceworks), Sarah Crook (Spiceworks), and David S (Spiceworks).
